Not a lot happening. I need to get to school extra early today because I have a 7:30 IEP meeting. (Tomorrow I have a 7 AM meeting - UGH!) The meeting today has the potential to be a pain in the ass but hopefully the mother is just disputing the language that the previous IEP writer used (freaking idiot) and once that's fixed she'll finally sign the damn thing (4 meetings later). Interestingly, I didn't think about the meeting at all last night and slept pretty good. (I had a dream I was on a roller coaster though - in the back car. Hmm...wonder what that means. I remember too, that I had to wait in line forever. I'll have to look that up.)
Yesterday was the first day with kids. Everything went fine. Currently I have 9 kids in my language arts class and 11 in my World Studies. Unfortunately, I have to be careful with my sarcasm and other things I might say (tests, quizzes, etc.) because I have a fairly sensitive autistic kid in there. She's pretty hilarious though and currently she seems to have something to say about EVERYTHING! It's funny because Diane - my left hand lady (I told Kim she was our right hand yesterday so Diane, you're our left - sits in back with her trying to get her to shut up. Anyway, all went well. I'm WAY bored in my 2 study halls because I have to go into other teachers rooms and without a computer to work on, I'm sitting there twiddling my thumbs with 3 kids who have nothing to do. Complete waste of my time. Hopefully we'll get a laptop with the IEP program on it and I can start fiddling with that.
Okay - I need to head out - after I finish my beauty regime of course. Later.
