Home From PIB - Summer's Really Over

I'm so sad. It sucks to be back. We had the best time at PIB this past weekend.
The great things were: Every day was clear, blue, not-a-cloud-in-the-sky weather (and hot as eff);
Marty (Megan's husband - Megan my cousin) left his boat there and let Dad use it so we were able to...

Take evening cruises.

Dad took us all to Kelleys Island on Saturday for about 4 hours in the sun and lake;

Cullen went tubing.

Pat and Mike Mans (our neighbor) had a cocktail party on Saturday to celebrate his birthday and we had a great time socializing and chatting up some of the other islanders. It was great. I drank way too much but hell, what's a vacation for?

And the final highlight of the weekend was the antique car parade that Mike invited us on (This is his truck but I got this off the Internet because I didn't have a full-shot picture of us in it.)

Maggie, Charlie and Jim in the back of the pick-up.

Cullen and I in the back of the pickup. It was hot as balls but great to sit in the bed of his 1953 Dodge Power Wagon and drink beer while we wheeled around the island on display for all the tourists. I can't wait to go back next year. I'm sad it's over for another summer.

K - I'm tired and will update more later. Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment at 10 and will then head to - gulp - work to see the state my room is in. I'll probably try and spend about 2 hours there. My main goal is to get my desk together...if they hauled it down from my old room to my new. Sucks. I'm sad. Later.

I'm probably going to leave my house at 10 and go up to school. See you there!
