Maybe He Has a Concussion!

'Cause why else would my husband be an asshole? Oh, yeah! I forgot...'cause he's an asshole! (Not really - he's just being all snippy and I'm about ready to punch him in the temple.) Let me backtrack: See, I had this idea about the problem of space in the shower. Because we didn't include a soap dish and I really didn't want to put an ugly shower caddy in, I thought we could install little corner shelves in the shower (like in Maggie's guest bathroom at her house) - 3 of them. Well, Jim was all for this idea until we found out that they don't just sell corner pieces like that so I then suggested taking two tiles, cementing them together and then attaching them. He shot me down. Well, yesterday he apparently had the same idea so this morning he says, "Hey Muir, I have an idea I think you're going to like" and then he presents me with the same exact solution that I had. (He did, however, add a piece of trim to cap it all off). My reaction was, "I love that idea...I had it the other day, remember?"

So as I'm leaving the bedroom to come back downstairs (after hearing his amazing revelation), I said something to him and he gets all pissy because with all the fans running, when I walked out of the room, he didn't hear me...which he tells me with a pissy attitude. So I yell to him that he doesn't have to give me such a funked up attitude and he says, "I can't hear you with the fans running like that." So I say, "Fine, I don't want to talk to you anyway, asshole." GOD!!! Happy post -2 day anniversary! Butt face!!!

So, Maggie was getting all pissy yesterday (maybe she has a concussion too...hee hee hee) about not having pictures posted of the tile. I wasn't going to post them until they were completely laid and grouted but after her bitchfest, I thought, fine! So here are some pictures of the unfinished tile.

Today I think I'll head back to Bed Bath and Beyond to try and find some shelving unit thingy to put above the toilet. I wanted to get a cabinet stained the same color as the vanity but they are impossible to find and pretty expensive anyway. So...I'm trying to find a glass shelving thingy - maybe with the same oil-rubbed Venetian bronze color as the rest of the metal in my b-room. Wish me luck. Other than that, I'll head to Blockbuster and that's it. Maybe beat my husband upside the head a couple times if his attitude doesn't shape up. Who knows?

K - later.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the reason for the "concussion" comment was because Jim had his first wreck yesterday - a fender bender! And...he was somewhere he wasn't supposed to be...and it was his fault! I knew he was a shitty driver.

Poor Jim! Ha! I just had to say it.

At least after all the pissy attitudes and bitchfests, you will have one freakin' awesome bathroom in which to soak away all your cares!! That's something to look forward to. :-) It looks really good! I can't wait to see the final product.
