Spotty Posting

So, I'm out of here for a few days - going up to Columbus to help Maggie and I don't know how long I'll be away from a computer. Well, she has a computer but I don't know, after we get into the house, how long it will take for the wireless to be set up. I'm expecting it to be toward the bottom of the list of things that need to get done. Regardless, I may be too exhausted from bossing Maggie around to post. This is just a warning. Sorry.

Well, Jim and I have seen a bunch of movies lately. The other night, we watched I Am Legend. Really good. People who have seen it have commented about not liking it because it's Will Smith alone for about an hour and 15 minutes - you know, before anyone besides a mutant shows up. I thought it was really good. I wasn't bored with just him and thought he did a great job. Plus, there were flashbacks to "before the virus" which broke up the supposed monotony. I think people may be a little crazy, anyway.

Then, the other day, while Jim was out working, I watched Atonement. I told Jim later that it was a good thing he didn't watch it with me because he would've wanted to stick a pick in his eye or beat himself over the head with a hammer. It was one majorly depressing movie. Don't get me wrong, it was good and I liked it but it's hard to say that about a movie where nothing good happens to any of the characters. At all. Seriously. Nothing.

Finally, Jim and I watched No Country For Old Men last night. Wow! Crazy. Other than saying I liked it, I don't know what else to say about it. Of course, from the Coen brothers, I knew that I was in for a treat but youza! And that Javier Bardem is one loco mofo (dude gives me the creeps)!!! He deserved the Oscar for that. And I bet if he hadn't gotten it, he would have shot the voters. Or at the very least flipped a coin for their lives. I'm not sure what to think about the ending. I'm still wondering about it. If you've seen it, you know what I mean.

Okay, I must go shower. I'm snuggling with J.J. today then heading straight up to Columbus. I'm going to be one tired mofo and Maggie better have a glass of wine all ready for me when I get there. Later.
