Early Riser

Strettttch...I woke up earlier than normal. It's actually pretty nice that since school has let out, I've been able to sleep until nearly 7:30. That's late. I got up just after 6:30 this morning but I think that was just my body telling me to get a move on. So my plans are to take the dogs on their morning walks, go walk myself (an added mile or so) and then come home and make breakfast: Bacon, eggs and fried bread. Yummm!!!

At 11, Jim and I will leave for a day of total relaxation at Raeburn. Trip and Susan will be there and a friend of Susan's from work (Erika) with her little girl. I have only been to Raeburn one time this summer. Isn't that terrible. Well, once I get back from PIB next week, I'll go more but I've been busy and also the weather hasn't been great for the pool.
OK - here's an annoying bit of crap I'd like to share: Why, around June 29th, do people around the nation, and especially in any neighborhood that I've ever lived in, suddenly believe themselves to be pyrotechnics? I'm not kidding you, last night for over an hour, there were jackasses setting off hundreds of thousands of fireworks. And, I'm not talking just little bottle rockets and poppers but also giant booms. First of all, why is it fun to light a wick and then stand there waiting for it to go pop, or boom or crackle? Second, some of the fireworks that were set off last night were illegal. Where are they getting these? Third, why are you people such redneck losers? Fourth, why do you always move in near me? Fifth, do the cops even care? It isn't like my neighborhood is full of other crime that the cops are busy with. Sixth, poor Bubba wouldn't step outside and had to hold his pee all night (my poor little - okay - big camel). Seventh, poor Zeke! I haven't seen him since 9:30 last night when it all started; he must have thought the thunderstorm from hell had hit - minus all the rain. Oh, and I forgot: Whoever was having their little "show" also had some dude singing patriotic tunes at the top of his lungs. "God Bless America", "Grand old Flag" etc. It was crazy. Can't wait for tonight!

Okay - more later - wish me luck on my tan. I'm gonna beat Trip's ass in pool volleyball and paddleball!

Hey, those redneck losers live in my neighborhood too. Across the street to be exact. Drove me crazy last night, although they don't sound as bad as the ones you were dealing with. Have fun today!

Apparently, they live in my neighborhood too. John told me that they've been setting them off for multiple nights over the last week and a half. I'm not sure of the fascination of shooting off fireworks yourself, but c'mon . . . one of these times they are going to burn a house down. And it will inevitably by mine!!!!
