Man, did I sleep like a baby rock! I'm so well rested. Now, don't get me wrong, I love vacation and PIB and all that jazz but I didn't sleep well there. Let me correct that, I had one night of good sleep. Not great but good. See, the mattress I was on is just not what I'm used to (I sound like a "diva")
Let me explain: My bed is a wonderment of softness. It's not only king size to allow plenty of room for Jim, me, Sami, Zeke (if he wants - he usually won't sleep in the bed) and Bubba (who can't get up on his own anymore cause his butt's too big or maybe because of all the poo he has stored there) but it also has a pillow top made from the guys at NASA so you know its awesome AND I have a "cuddle bed" on top of it which is it's own little mattress in itself (you know - a bed cover under the fitted sheet). And yes, the price of comfort and softness didn't come cheap but should there be a price put on a good night's sleep? I mean come on, it's priceless. It's like that Visa commercial:
Ralph Lauren sheets: $140
A good book: $25
Oscillating fan: $39.99
A good night's sleep: Priceless
(By the way, I should be in advertising cause that would be a great idea for - I don't know - a hotel that is marketing their beds.)
Think about those nights when you sleep like crap and you lie awake looking at the clock and you think: "Okay, if I fall asleep right now, I'll get 4 hours of sleep." Then, 1/2 hour later after more tossing and turning, you think "Okay, now, I can get 3 1/2 hours sleep if I fall asleep....NOW!" This doesn't happen to me because my bed is guaranteed to rock you to sleep and hold you in crook of it's arm allowing for a restless night of goodness.
Anyway, I actually slept until 8:00 today and now I'm going to get ready to walk the dogs, (I'm sure Bubba has a lot of poo stored up from the past 5 days - hope I have enough bags), make breakfast and then maybe go to Raeburn today since it's going to be in the 90's and SUNNY!!!
More later
