Needless to say, my email back to the treasurer who was so rude to me, was not nice. In essence I stated the following: (The last statement he said to me was: "You have always had the option to work with another provider such as a bank rather than moving to AF." Fuck you dude.
As for your last statement, I've never voiced a problem with the move to American Fidelity and I'm not sure why you've suggested that. You've given me two different explanations for this situation. First, I didn't sign up for the transfer and that was why my account was charged. Then, I guess, when you found that wasn't the case, you're said I "chose to move the funds to AF" and the fee was the cost. My obvious issue here is that a mistake was made somewhere, by someone other than me and yet, I'm being made to feel like I've made the error. The members of this district should not be penalized with fees for this change.
Here's my other question though, it seems that not all members were charged. Why is that?
I'm sure my district will once again dick us over. I just wish there was more accountability and transparency. I did everything I was supposed to do but got the run-around. I was made to feel like a fool and the people in charge can't seem to get their ducks in a row or their stories straight. It's really frustrating.
The only good thing to come out of this is that I'm pretty sure my treasurer is now having to field dozens upon dozens of emails from angry members. I'm expecting there will be a mass email sent out today with some sort of bullshit explanation for all this. Hmm...maybe that should have happened immediately upon finding this snafu. LIKE I SUGGESTED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Poor Jimmy. He didn't get home until 3:30 this morning. I think he said he had to be somewhere today by noon which sucks for him. However, it's just a small amount he has to do and then he has doctors appointments at 2:45. Ugh. Well, at least he'll be home tonight and I can make him a nice home cooked meal. And he can go to bed early and hopefully get some sleep.
Good luck Maggie! Today she's getting a colonoscopy. Her prep for this was a whole lot of bullshit. They made her fast for essentially 48 hours. That's nuts.
Today is my Friday with kids and I've made it an easy one. We're reading a chapter in English and watching a movie in history. I'm kind of hoping lots of kids will decided to make it a 5 day weekend and not show up. I do have to go to work tomorrow but it's a PD day and only the first half will be in (useless) meetings. I don't have to be in until 8:00 so my post tomorrow will be just a little later...probably by only a 1/2 hour.
And that's all I've got. Happy Thursday! Later!
