Here's a 10 day recap of what's been happening:
Christmas was good...chill and delicious. We were at Becky's for dinner and had our normal Prime rib, mashers and sides. Jim and I were home by 7:00 ish? I can't remember. We were in bed early so we could get to the airport. All travels to the Bahamas went off without a hitch. In fact, we arrived at our destination a little early.
The Bahamas! It was amazing and exactly what I needed. I'll say that the resort wasn't as nice as Punta Cana and the food wasn't as good but the beach was incredible and I loved the pools. The people were fantastic as well. It was exactly what we needed and reminds me that I love a beach resort. Five days was the perfect amount of time. A week would be too long I think, mainly because I just miss my boys too much.
We got back on Wednesday and other than our last flight, everything was on time. The final leg of our flight had a small delay and we got in about 30 minutes past our original landing but that was okay.
Yesterday was a day of travel recovery. I did loads of laundry and hugged on the boys. Scout actually got two walks because when I went to walk him in the morning the roads were a complete sheet of ice. This meant he only got a mile walk and that just wasn't going to do for him. I ended up going out later and giving him a good 3 miler. He was so happy. He's currently looking at me with sad eyes, knowing that I'm not taking him after I finish this.
I managed to get our annual good luck meal in yesterday: Pork and sauerkraut and as usual, it was delicious. I also managed to get a good soak in the hot tub and I plan on swimming later today. I gotta get back into the swing of exercising again. I did work out in the Bahamas but not like I normally would.
My plans today: after I finish this I'll head to Aldi. Jim's taking his truck BACK into the dealership (dummies didn't fix what was wrong while it was there last week) and then we'll come home to take Christmas down. I'm ready to have the clutter put away.
Dinner tonight: I'll either make a Detroit style pizza or burritos, whatever Jim's in the mood for. Or maybe we'll go to Tony's.
