There are a slew of mutha f&%kas at school. A bunch of assholes are coming in sick; both teachers and students. I was sitting there working with a kid yesterday and as he coughed all over me he said, "I think I have Covid." My response was, "You don't have Covid...and stop hacking all over me fool." I've actually had a tickle in my throat for a few days and last night I woke up in the middle of the night with what felt like a full blown sore throat. Of course now it's a bit better but every time I swallow it's takes that little extra effort. Ugh! I better not be getting sick.
I had the dumbest department meeting after school yesterday. My dept. head introduced a new "initiative" (?) being implemented by my principal. I don't remember what it's called but it's so stupid and I'm sure it has to do with the fact that my principal is being evaluated this year. Anyway, after my dept. head stumbled through a sort of explanation, I said, "Um...what's the point of this?" His answer was, "I don't really know. It's still a bit muddy at this point." Typical typical.
Dinner tonight: I'm making stuffed peppers from Costco and a salad. Easy and won't make leftovers. I look forward to making tomorrow night's dinner...more on that tomorrow. It's a new one and should be delicious.
Currently we're watching West Side Story in ELA ( Spielberg's)...I think I mentioned this earlier in the week. It's always a crapshoot if the kids will be receptive or not and I'm happy to report they are. This version is spot on to the 1961 version which makes me happy because I loved the original.
One last thing: I hate the Yankees. Damn Indians need to get it together and win the next 4 games. Not sure that's going to happen but one can hope.
