Let me backtrack here. It's not news that my principal annoys the shit out of me and many people for that matter. Beyond that, he's slightly stupid. For example, he can't pronounce the most basic of names. He could fuck up "Smith"...seriously. It's embarrassing. And it's not funny...not like the Key and Peele skit where the substitute pronounces all the kids names wrong (Aaron is A-A-ron). Another example, he says "expecially". I mean really?! You're a supposed educator (although I think he was in the classroom for about a year before he went into administration). Also, he always has to explain (mansplain) shit that needs no explanation, like his stupid "dad" jokes that he would vomit every morning during announcements. (Thankfully, he cut that shit out.)
Anyway, this year, our class periods have been reduced to 41 minutes which is a very short amount of time and so every minute is needed. My principal however doesn't seem to care and has continued over these last weeks to waste our time. Every day, EVERY FUCKING DAY, he has to say the pledge. It really takes away from the meaning of the thing when it's forced down our throats every day. So, as we approached the first Liaison meeting, I filled out a form asking for it to go BACK to just once a week. (He used to do it just once a week but for some reason about 3 years ago, started doing it every day.) I found out that there were several other teachers that complained about the same thing.
So I woke up this morning to an email with the notes for the meeting. In response to the complaint, my dumb ass principal said that he would investigate to see if this is a district wide policy or not. Who fucking cares?! It isn't policy. It's not written in the "rules" that it has to be said every day! This is the kind of shit he does. If he gets his stupid feelings hurt (because he takes this type of shit personally) he'll come up with some lame reason or excuse for why he needs to continue doing annoying shit. He's such an ass.
K - I'm done.
Dinner: I was going to do chicken piccata but I need chicken and so I'll make Trader Joe General Tso's chicken with some broccoli and rice. Easy.
I have my first IEP meeting today. Should be easy.
And that's all I've got. So happy tomorrow is Friday! I'm especially excited that tomorrow when I workout in the morning (Friday morning I get on the elliptical) I'll have the Great British Bake Off to watch! So happy! K - happy Thursday. Later!
