Poor Jim's Feet

You will be relieved to know that I won't be posting a picture of Jim's feet to go with the title of this post because no one, I mean no one, wants to get a gander at those. He's been to a podiatrist but there's not much that can be done medically because his problem stems from his medication. He's got a crazy buildup of calluses and his poor toenails are a wreck. It's actually painful for him and standing all day doesn't help. He's started using urea at night with socks to try and soften them up and I've just bought him a foot bath, lavender salts and a foot grater so hopefully we'll knock some of the problem out...ugh!

Bathroom retiling news: It's coming along but slowly. Slower than I'd like. The fellows were here yesterday until about 6:30, which annoys me a little but only because I wish they'd get here early and leave early. But, beggers can't be choosers, right? Anyway, they've got all the tile up and now need to put the bullnose up and figure out what to do around the glass block. From there they'll grout. I'm hoping this will happen today but I doubt it. The problem is that Larry tore his bicep and is having trouble doing much work so he's relying on his two employees. I'm hoping that today Larry will get here and at least get the linen and pantry doors up. I'm not complaining, really, I just prefer not to have people in my house after working all day.

Today is supposed to be beautiful so I'm hoping to take a bike ride after school.

Dinner tonight: I'll either do what I was going to do yesterday (Thai-inspired chicken with couscous) or salisbury steak. I ended up making lasagna toss last night because it was easy and Jim wanted it. We'll see what I feel like this afternoon.

Not much else is going on. I'm having some sort of pain in my jaw. I thought at first it was tooth pain but it's not. It's confusing and I'm trying to riddle it out but it's hard to pin down. It's not painful so much as irritating and it doesn't hurt all the time just sort of rears up ever so often. I hate having weird mouth/jaw/head pain.

Okay well, time to get a move on. Happy Wednesday! Later!
