Early Meeting

I have a meeting at 7:05 this morning so this will need to be quick. I really don't know why I need to go to this meeting as this is a kid who isn't on my caseload and I only see him because he's scheduled into my GI (he has two for some reason). I'm not even sure what the purpose of the meeting is. In addition, they moved the meeting to my room which is stupid because I teach at 7:40 and have kids that come in and out from 7:00 until first bell begins. Not sure why they couldn't hold it in another venue. Dumb. 

So the behavior kid who was put into my ELA class? Still haven't had him in class for a full period. If he doesn't get sent to the office for being an asshole, he's late or absent. And when he is there, he doesn't do the work. I'll just document the hell out of his behavior...you know, bombard his IS and the admins with his bullshit. Oh, and he was just moved into my 6th period history class. That should be fun because it's full of kids who don't like him; who he's had issues with before as well as his cousin. I envision shouting matches and lots of drama. Ugh! 

Yesterday after school I overdid it slightly. First I walked Scout 3 miles and then I mowed both the front and backyard. Needless to say my poor feet are sore. I did a nice stretchy yoga this morning but I'm still a bit stiff. 

Not sure about dinner tonight. I might to a baked buffalo chicken. It's been a while since I've made that and it's yummy and easy. 

There's a woman at work who is turning 50 and they're having a surprise get together for her on Friday. At 5 o'clock. Ugh! I hate going out on Fridays! I'm trying to decide if I'm going to show or not. I might just appear for one drink and then come home. Make up some excuse. We'll see. 

Did I mention that tomorrow I have a professional 1/2 day in the morning I have to go to? Stupid. Not even sure what it's about. Maybe something about behavior plans? I don't know but I'm sure it will be a waste of time. I hate being out for just a half day because it means that I will see one of my ELA classes but not the other so I have to plan a stupid, time-wasting lesson. I like to keep the two classes on the same schedule...otherwise I get confused...not hard to do. 

Okay well, that's about all I've got. It's right cold out there this morning - 41 degrees and I'm wearing a dress and flip flops. Not complaining...I love this weather but my tootsies tend to turn purple. 

Poor Florida. Why does anyone live there!?
