Today in school I'll just do some fun activities in LA and then for science and history I'll so some videos to introduce our first chapters. Exciting, huh?
I started watching a new series this morning on Netflix - Virgin River. It's good. I'm only halfway through the first episode but I like it. Right up my alley, really. Leading lady takes a job in the middle of nowhere to escape whatever in her life was falling apart. Meets man who has his own complicated past. Sexual tension builds. It's based off a book series of which there are 21 so this series could go for a LONG time on Netflix. And it's doing really well so I'm sure they've already renewed it for another season. Woot!
Dinner tonight will see Jim and I camped out at a booth at our local cantina. Jimmy's in the mood for Mexican and I aim to make him happy. Can't wait for some nachos, margaritas and who knows what else.
Last night I made BBQ chicken (in the air fryer) using the sauce that my neighbor got me for watching her cats this summer. It came from wherever she was in Michigan; a place known for it's cherries. Which means it was a cherry BBQ sauce and it was delicious. I didn't know how it would be but man! I'm funny about BBQ sauce. Most times it's not my fave but this was scrumptious!
Lester (Holt) made me cry this morning. I didn't see the nightly news last night and this morning when I was perusing Instagram, I saw the clip at the end of the show from last night honoring Richard Engel's son, Henry who died. He was 6-years old and had Rett's Syndrome. It was so sad. Thanks a lot Lester! RIP Henry!
Plans this weekend: Jim and I need to go pick out and purchase tile for my bathroom (retiling my shower). Larry, our contractor dude, is just about ready to do some work we need done. Additionally, he's replacing all our inside doors so we need to purchase those (bedroom doors, a closet doors, pantry door, door to the basement). Other than that, just chilling. I'm sure Shooters will be destination and maybe lunch out somewhere Saturday.
Okay, time to get a move on. Get this day in the books so I can enjoy the weekend. Happy Friday! Later.
