Gearing Up!

I'm gearing up over the next two days for PIB which means laundry, packing, organizing, stressing, yelling at Jim because he procrastinates and never helps me enough and when he does he doesn't do things the way I want them done. I kid. There really isn't that much to do other than packing and organizing. Most of Jim's laundry is done which is always the biggest fight we have prior to going on vacation. He always waits until the last minute to do things and then when the morning of departure comes, he's scrambling around and pissing me off. It's always my goal to not allow this to happen. You'd think after 21 years of marriage, Jim would learn. But he doesn't. Fingers crossed I'm not booked on murder charges Sunday!

Yesterday a school friend messaged me to see if I wanted to come over and play with a couple puppies she's got before they are adopted this weekend (she fosters pups for a local rescue). They are sisters, my friend named them Sweet Caroline and Sloopy, and oh my goodness are they the sweetest. Seriously, if it weren't for Boo I'd consider getting the black and white (the black one has a someone lined up to take her Saturday). She was just so lovey and docile. She did that thing where she'd kiss me and put her paw on my cheek while she did. I mean, how can anyone resist that!? It always makes me sad when sibling puppies get adopted away from each other but Jane, my friend, said that it helps them be much more social with other dogs. I guess. I do know that Boo and Scout would probably die from depression without each other. I'm sure if they'd been separated when they were just weeks old it would be different but at this point, 5 years old, it's too late. They can barely handle when I walk them separately, leaving one home for less than an hour.

Anyway, it was fun to play with a couple puppies and watch them chase each other. And even though they were SOOOOO cute, it was nice to leave knowing I wasn't going to have to go through the whole potty training thing again.

It's Friday! Which means Jim wants to meet at Shooters around noon. We'll see if he finishes his job in order to do this. My other plans today just involve getting organized, doing some school work (looks like the system was fixed that was blocking schedules from being released) and hanging with the pups. It's supposed to rain quite a bit today but I did manage to get the boys walked. I'll do some ab/arm work here in a bit and then maybe clean the screens for the windows in the Florida room. I mentioned that Jim cleaned it but didn't put the screens back in. He seems to think they need replacement but that isn't going to happen. I mean, they are special screens with weird sizes and I'm sure it'd cost a LOT! I'll see if I can get them clean so Jim can relax.

Dinner tonight: I'm not sure. I need to make some thing that won't make leftovers but I'm getting to the point where I'm sick of the same old shit. Ooh, Maybe I'll just do some sort of chicken with broccoli and sweet potato gnocchi from Trader Joe's. That sounds good. And easy. And typical but whatever.

K - best mosey. Happy Friday! I'll post pictures on Facebook/Instagram while I'm gone. Later!
