Good News, Bad News

The bad news is that my meeting got cancelled yesterday. I know you all were anticipating my summary of it but apparently Ulysses got sick, threw up yesterday morning (happens sometimes when he takes his meds) and mom decided to keep him home. The good news? Ulysses got sick yesterday morning, threw up and mom decided to keep him home. Yesterday was slightly blissful without him. The meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow morning so I'll let you know what happens on Friday.

The weather has broken and it feels terrific outside. A/C is off and windows are open! Woot! I can't wait for the weekend and bike rides that Jim and I have planned. On Saturday we're going to start in Milford, ride to Loveland, eat breakfast at Paxton's and then head home. Should be about 18 miles but all on the trail so it will certainly be doable for me. My hope is to get to a point where I can go 25 miles without my ass falling off. I think that's my limit. Gotta get as many rides in while the weather is still good.

I'm starting to make headway at school. I should be able to crank out my first IEP by end of week. I'll be staying at school Thursday until 8:00 since we have Open House. That will certainly help me to get a lot of the piddly shit done that I need to do.

We started reading Othello yesterday in LA and the kids seems to be enjoying it. I was happy to see so many of the kids volunteer to take a part and read so well! Even one of my worst readers offered to read which is saying something.

And I just screamed like a scared little kid! Moth flew in the door and flew straight at my head. Jeez!

Okay - time to get a move on. Gotta set up my LA class with Chromebooks etc. for a new way I'm planning on doing weekly reading comprehensions. Dread! Happy Wednesday! Later!
