My attitude starting this week is MUCH different compared to last. With Ulysses out of 2 of my classes, I can definitely breathe a sigh of relief and I don't have that severe dread starting the week anymore. I still have him during 4th period for science but that's certainly doable - for both of us.
This week should be relatively routine. I think the kids (new ones) are figuring me out and getting down with my way of doing things. I look forward to the three day weekend coming up.
This past weekend was delightful. Jim and I took two lovely rides. Saturday we headed from Milford to Loveland (with a stop at Paxton's for breakfast) totaling 18 miles. Sunday, we headed from Miamiville to Newtown for a 15.5 mile ride. Sunday was definitely a tougher ride even though it was shorter A) because my butt was a sore and B) I hadn't fueled up beforehand. That's pretty good though and I'm proud of Jim for sticking it out since he was sick most of last week and still recovering. Hopefully the weather will hold over the next several weekends so we can get a ride or two in. Even if it's just in the neighborhood.
So I got a call from Anne the other day asking me for a favor. Apparently her ex decided to get puppies. This from a man who basically likes nothing and no one but himself. It wasn't difficult to see the future here: Finding a new home for two little boy pups. Anne said they're beagle mixes and she'd like to have them stay together. I would certainly contemplate them but I'm not bringing puppies into my home with Sami. She'd destroy them and it would destroy her. So I said I'd put the word out. Anne said she was going to put it on Facebook but she hasn't yet. When she does, I'll share it. Poor puppies. Can't imagine what feather got up Dan's ass. Ridiculous.
And that's all I've got. Time to get a move on and get this week started. Happy Monday! Later!
