We Went To The Mattresses

That's a little homage to the Godfather by the way...though we didn't go to war...we literally went to the mattresses. As I mentioned, I went to the mattress fund raising sale at school with the goal of purchasing at least two single mattresses for the daybed/trundle and I did. Just cheapies that Eva will be cozy in if and when she visits. After those were picked out, Jim and I started laying down on all the other mattresses. We had it down to two but it was a tough call because they were both comfy. In the end, I went with my gut and the one I felt that "ahhh" moment when I first laid down. We got a Restonic. It's got a gel-infused memory foam, and what they call a "marvelous middle" (extra coils in the middle where the majority of weight is...meant to prevent premature sagging). The cost was about $800 less than retail! Not bad. Delivery in 2 weeks and I can't WAIT!!!  Now we just need to schedule carpet for the upstairs and I'll feel pretty complete for a while.

Interesting news story on the top dogs for popularity according to the AKC. The bulldog ranked #4. Maggie, you should have seen the dog they featured on GMA this morning...looked so much like Max! So cute!!!

Lets see...plans for today. Nothing really. We're getting some snow currently. As of now, we've got about an inch and it doesn't look like we'll get much more but ice may be an issue later this morning. UGH! Sami is so sick of this weather. She hates the snow in the backyard because its turned hard and hampers her walking. She's so over it!

Nothing else is happening here. K - best go pour a mimosa and think about breakfast. Later! Happy Sunday!
