Hello Again 4:15...I Did Not Miss You!

So for the past three days, Jim was working at a church nearby and couldn't get inside said church until 7AM. This meant that we got up at the same time. It was so nice. I'd go get coffee and when I went up to shower, he got out of bed and went down for breakfast. Well, as everyone knows, all good things must come to an end and that job ended yesterday. His new job is down in Newport (the building of a new Flipdaddy's) which means he has to be there at 6AM and get up at 4:15. This wouldn't be so bad if A) he knew how to use his alarm clock - he can't seem to figure out how to turn it off and B) Sami didn't somehow know 5 minutes before the alarm is set to go off that Jim's getting up because she jumps on the bed and proceeds to grunt and paw at Jim which wakes me up and I STILL HAVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES TO SLEEP!!!

Oh well, what are you going to do? Would I rather he NOT be working? No! Definitely NOT!

In other news - it's raining like felines and canines! A bit of thunder and lightning too! Just looked at the weather for my spring break and next Thursday should be gorgeous and 67 degrees! YAY!

So nominations for our union are currently going on...due Friday. As you may remember, the position of president and vice president are available as are building rep seats. My next door neighbor has nominated me and I him. I was afraid he was going to nominate me for president but he didn't (he'd have to get my okay but I didn't want that pressure). He told me that one teacher in our building has nominated herself which was why he didn't nominate me. We have all been fearful that a certain teacher in our building would be nominated and there would be no one running against him and he's NOT trustworthy. Thankfully, the teacher who nominated herself, I believe, will do a good job if she gets it and though I might not be her number one fan, I believe she has the good of the union and our building at heart. WHEW!

Maybe someday I'll run for a higher office in the union but I'm not ready yet. With everything coming down the pike it's just too scary to do something like that and feel so green.

Okay well, we are two days from vacation and I couldn't be more excited. We'll head to Trip and Susan's this weekend for a bit of fun, food and card playing. I'll also head to Columbus for a couple days on Monday. Other than that, I'm going to be at my house, hanging with my girl and hubby.
