The Machinist

So, Jim and I watched The Machinist last night with Christian Bale.  It's a psychological thriller about a guy who hasn't slept for a year and begins to see things that he isn't sure is real or not.  It was very interesting and good but I was seriously disgusted by the way Christian Bale looked.  He apparently lost about 60 pounds for the role and YUCK!  Regardless of that, however, it was an enjoyable movie that I've wanted to see for a while.  Certainly worth my time.

By the way - here's the before and after of Mr. Bale in all his disgustingess!  Isn't that gross!?  That can't be healthy!

So after we watched that and after we ate our good luck delicious pork and sauerkraut, we watched Russell Brand in New York City!  He's my new obsession!  I love his accent and quick wit humor.  I love the way he says "f" for "th".  For example:  "Fank you!"  I can't wait until the remake of Arthur comes out!

And that was my yesterday.  I kicked Jim's ass in Jeopardy several times.  It's really embarrassing at this point.  I ended up the only contestant in the Final Jeopardy. 

Well, that's it.  Jim and I are headed out to take his car to Firestone.  He has a hub cap repair on one of his tires (free).  No big deal.  We'll head to Meijer to get a few things and then come home to watch TV - football, the new Oprah network.  I'm obsessed with that too...the shows I've seen are really interesting and good.  I saw the Jay-Z Masters special yesterday...what a fascinating and well-rounded guy.  Anyway - those are my plans.  I'm not looking forward to tomorrow and going back to work but hopefully I'll be winning the lottery here soon and then the HGTV Dream Home and moving to Stowe Vermont.  (Suckers!)  K - later!
