Doo You Know?

In a continuation of yesterdays calendar tidbit (or bidtit as I like to say in my head):  Only 50% of the world's population has ever experienced the aroma of asparagus pee.  This was initially thought to be due to differences in the way some of us digested asparagus but now!!!  It is believed that while all of us excrete the sulfur-containing compounds in our urine, only 50% of us have the genes to DETECT the smell!!!  Isn't that fascinating?  That I could SMELL something that someone else can't?  I've heard this about the smell of cyanide...that only some people can detect an almond smell...I wonder if it's for the same reason.  Hmm...Who knew that my poo calendar would cause such questions...such insight...such interesting and useless information!?

Okay so Jim and I played Jeopardy again last night - twice - and guess what?  I won both games.  That poor (stupid) man!  Hee hee...I kid of course. Not that I won...of course I won - I just don't really think that Jim is stupid.  Anyway, I was looking at my stats and it had me winning just about $400,000 and 13 out of 18 games where Jim has one 1 out of 18 and only won $40,001.  Although for one game - that's a hefty payout.  Too bad it isn't really ours...just like we didn't win that damn lottery.  Son of bitch! 

Merry Armenian Christmas by the way!  I miss Christmas.  If I lived in Armenia, I would be celebrating!  I miss snow too.  Hopefully we'll be getting a bit of snow tonight (enough for a delay?!).  They're saying only about an inch but Bubba will be happy.  He's taken to going out into the back yard and just laying down looking all sad.  Which is weird...he normally hates just hanging out in the back yard.  I think he's sunk into a depression without the white stuff.  Maybe it's withdrawal. 

K - I better get to school...We had a lock down yesterday and I didn't have to teach my low language arts class...bonus!  I'm sure I won't be that lucky again today.  Oh well...later!
