Holy Deluge Batman

We didn't get severe weather last night, just a few rumbles of thunder but the rain. Holy merde! I didn't realize how much we got until I stood up from the couch and saw the lake at the bottom of the yard and the river that ran to it. I mean, YOWZA! There goes all that seed we laid. Dammit! Fucking dammit! Oh well. It subsided and is now just a swamp back there, I'm sure. Apparently Loveland got hit pretty hard with heavy rain and of course we've got more coming this evening. However, after that, we should be dry until next week. Fingers crossed.

Jim's off work today. It's fine. I've already written up a list of to-do items for him. And let me tell you it better get done. Second on the list is to remove the gigantic dead mole in the front yard. I mean, this thing, no kidding, is as big as my foot. And I have big feet! I have no idea how it died but dead it is if the flies covering it's carcass is any indication. It's pretty gross. Good luck Jim. I told him to remove it 2 days ago and he didn't so now he'll have to deal with it's rotting disgustingness.

Dinner tonight: I think I'll make a chicken tortellini meal with a salad.

I got in the hot tub to swim yesterday and man I wore myself out. My arms and legs were like jelly. I don't mind but I hadn't walked Scout yet and that was a task.

One of Jim's jobs today is to call Direct TV to see if they have any deals and offers that would make it worth our while to switch from Fioptics. I've had it with them. They keep taking channels away and my bill keeps going up. The whole reason for switching from Spectrum was because their prices were getting out of hand. However, I'm about $20 away from what my Spectrum bill was when I switched and I have NO channels. Fingers crossed we can get a good deal without too much hassle.

The new kid starts today. I have no idea how all this will go, hopefully well but I'll have this kid three bells a day and that's a LOT. I'm hoping he'll be in a honeymoon stage during these last weeks of school and not give any of us too much bother. Fingers crossed.

And that's all I have. Time to get a move on. Happy Tuesday! Later.
