Last Day (This Week)

The day is starting out lovely but I don't think it's going to stay that way. The wind is kicking up and the lake is getting choppier but it's still pretty muggy out there so the AC will stay on. 

Yesterday was a fun day, which started with a big old breakfast and ended with Dairy Isle Flurries (their version of a DQ Blizzard). There was some paddle boarding (JJ and I went around Gibraltar), lots of wave running (Trippy did the majority of that although I did take Eva out on a nice ride in the afternoon), plenty of pool time, games of Uno and Rummikub (I won both games) and taco bowls for dinner.

I thought the day was going to be a lot grayer than it's starting. Originally we thought it would be a game day but that may change. We will be going to Big Man Burritos for lunch and making a stop at the Carriage House for Eva. She still loves that place. Dinner tonight will be Flank steak, burgers, baked potatoes, and a salad. 

So when we went to the pool yesterday, there were these two annoying kids there. I'd say they were both in the early teen years, probably a brother and sister, the boy being the older of the two. I think they had every single ball in the pool and were basically playing a kind of raucous, 2-man game of dodgeball. It was annoying because A) they were taking up nearly the whole shallow end which meant that B) no one else could swim or play basketball if they wanted or even hang without the threat of getting beamed by a wayward ball.  They were completely unaware of how rude they were being and there were no parents with them to parent them. After watching this for a bit and seeing that JJ and Eva couldn't take up their own space in the pool to toss a ball, I decided to squelch their little game. First thing I did was get in the pool and rid them of several balls. I then grabbed the mini lacrosse things that Eva has and JJ, Eva and I established some space requiring the bro/sis team to move. Eventually, others at the pool joined and they finally got a clue and got out of the pool. They were just so annoying and inconsiderate. Realistically, the lifeguard on duty should have taken care of the issue. 

Okay well, time to sip my mimosa and enjoy the morning. Later...happy Wednesday!
