Better

I'm typing this on Tuesday to post on Wednesday and I'm hoping that the title of my post holds in terms of my Dad's behavior. So far today (Tuesday), he didn't have any issues with trying to get out of bed. The rails that the nurse ordered should be there by the end of today and hopefully that will prevent anymore escape attempts to occur. There are several hours left in the day, however, so fingers crossed. 

Dad was pretty chill Tuesday. He was eating breakfast when I got there around 9:45, which was a little later than usual because he slept late. I'd imagine his little stunt Monday night left him wiped out. Becky headed out for yoga around 10:15. Right before she left, Dad had her put on some music (Haydn) and it was lovely. Dad and I just chilled...I crushed some candy and dad read the CD jacket. And then he reached for the remote and then made had me turn off the music to put on Fox News. At first I said, "Do you want the TV on? Maybe a Hallmark movie? It's Christmas in July!? Or maybe sports?" He said, "No. Fox." I complied and hit mute and said, "You wanna just watch but continue listening to this lovely music?!" {PLEASE!?} But he stated in a resounding tone, "NO! Turn off the music."

I'll tell you what, it's a good thing I love my dad because, although I had an earbud in and was watching a show, I could still here the rhetoric being spewed. They are SOOOOO much worse than MSNBC or CNN. And then I had to listen to my all-time, most hated person: Kellyanne "stupid face" Conway. I dislike her so much. I don't like the word "hate" (I save that for the GOP fucker running for office) but I'm close to needing that word to describe my feelings for her. I guess despise works. Or maybe loathe; abhor; abominate; detest. All good words for her. 

Anyway...sorry I digress...Becky was back around 12:00 and the nurse came around 12:30. During that time, it was beautiful out so I was able to sneak a quick 20 minutes in the pool to do laps. It was lovely. The water was pretty warm. I just before 2:00, stopping at the new house to see the new window treatments. They look so good and really cozy up the place. 

Wednesday the plan is to get to Raeburn by 9:00. The movers are slated to come between then and 10:00. They're moving stuff from the basement (washer and dryer) plus some boxes. Not sure how long that will take but it really doesn't matter. I don't really have any plans. I do believe Maggie's going to make a day trip down too. 

And that's all I've got. Jim opted for the Thai chicken pizza Tuesday so Wednesday's meal will be either pork tenderloin with broccoli and rice or a vegetable pie with chicken salad.
