Yesterday was a much more beautiful day than expected. It was hazy to start but then it cleared out and was gorgeous. Aside from our lunch and shopping (I got a t-shirt and sweatshirt) we were camped out at home. JJ and I paddled out on the paddle boards while Eva and Trip went out on the jet ski and then he came to where JJ and I were and the kids switched off. They did this about 3 times and each got lots of time out there. I did NOT take a ride because it was ROUGH and Muwee doesn't want to break. I've learned that I don't bounce like I used to. I trust Trip implicitly not to hurt you but sometimes the lake has a different idea in mind.
Dinner last night was flank steak, burgers (for those who didn't want steak) twice baked potatoes, and marinated cucumbers. It was all delicious. Dinner tonight, by the way, when I get home will be some sort of chicken on the grill, probably rice and broccoli...something simple I don't have to think about. I'll have to stop at the grocery before I get home though.
I'm not sure when I'll come up next week during Maggie's time. It all depends on the weather but I'm thinking Tuesday through Friday (Jim isn't aware yet). It'll be my last time up here until October - WAH - which will be a long weekend. I've also put my name down for the Saturday - Wednesday before Thanksgiving...my fave time up here. But again, all of that depends on the weather. Fingers crossed.
Okay, I need to set a fire under Maggie's ass and Eva's still in bed. I'm not in any real kind of hurry though so I'm not stressed about getting out and I have nowhere to be so it's cool. Of course my puppies, I'm sure are in a hurry for me to get home. I sure do miss those sweet boys.
