Tip Top

Because I know everyone is wondering about my poop shoot, all is well! Pretty much since I started taking the antibiotics, I've been racing quickly toward feeling 100%. Lets put it this way: During my "illness" I had a mantra which was "Never trust a fart". I no longer need to follow those guidelines. Phew!

The weekend was pretty lowkey. Originally, Jim and I were supposed to go out with Doug and Lauren on Saturday but my "recovery" was too new and I didn't want to overdo it and send myself back in the hole. Instead, I grilled and we stayed in and watched an episode of The Gentlemen. Plus, Jim, being on 2nd shift was wiped out, although he did manage to mow the front yard.

Stole this from Anne.
Ignore me, bent over on the left.
Sunday we woke up, I made omelets for breakfast, we walked the dogs, I mowed the backyard and then we hung out watching the birds and squirrels until it was time to get ready to go to Raeburn. After I got sick, I wasn't going to go to see Dad and hang with the fam (didn't want to spread anything) but with how well I was feeling and based on what it said about precautions it seemed to be okay. I made sure to NOT hug anyone (although unless I was covered in poop, they should have been okay) and used a separate bathroom from everyone else, of which I cleaned thoroughly upon leaving.

Jim and I got there at about noon (surprisingly, we were the last to arrive...that never happens and in fact as I was driving up Raeburn, Trip texted me saying, "Where are you? HAHA") ate lunch and then it as ON! We played 4 games of volleyball and with those, figured out that the weak link between the 5 of us (Trip, Anne, JJ, Jim and myself) was...drum roll (I think we all know who the weak link was): JIM!!! It didn't matter though...we had a great time. It was so good to A) be in the pool during the beginning of this heat wave B) hang with the family and C) get some quality volleyball games in.

Jim and I left just after 4:00 and came home to chill. I made mushroom/swiss burgers, caprese salad and corn for dinner. By 8:00, I was in bed and slept like a little baby. The only time I woke up was when my alarm went off at midnight for my next dose of antibiotics and I fell right back to sleep.

Plans for today: Jim will be on 2nd shift, most likely through Tuesday. I told him we could go out to lunch today. He hasn't decided on where we'd go though. His choice and I'll be surprised if he doesn't choose Shooters. We haven't been since his drinking debacle several weeks ago. I'm sure they're wondering where we've been.

I won't make dinner tonight since I have leftovers in the fridge.

And that's all I've got. I'm going to finish this up and go walk Scout. It's already 75 degrees out there and I want to get a good 3 miles in today without Scout passing out. From there I'll probably do yoga and then take a bike ride. No other plans except to clean the house.

K - best mosey. Happy Monday! (This time next week, I'll be on my way to the Bay for some quality Maggie/Eva time.) Later!
