Overdoing It

Seems that every Monday, Jim takes a step back and struggles with feeling well. Today is no exception and I blame our outing to the Reds game yesterday. He didn't drink (he can't because he's still on the antibiotics) but he ate an Italian sausage, a mett and then came home later and had pizza. I'm guessing all that caused his gut to rebel a bit. Thankfully, he doesn't have to work until 2nd shift so I'm hoping that he's able to rally and feel better.

All that being said, we had a lovely time at the game. The weather was perfect and though our seats were basically in the nosebleeds, we could see everything, including the river and we were in the shade. Unfortunately, the Reds got their asses handed to them (and swept in their series with the Brewers) but it was still a good time. It'd been about 3 years since we'd been to a game and it was nice to get down there. Not to mention that our tickets included a $15 credit each and Jim got us free parking. (He's been working downtown at PNC bank and they allowed him to park in the free construction spots.)

And now onto what a rip off the stadium is! I got a tall boy beer at concessions and it was $15!!! WHAT!? I could buy a 12-pack with that! Ridiculous. Thankfully, like I said, we had a voucher so much of what we had was paid for. I feel bad for families going down there trying to treat their kids...it's such a scam!

So yeah, the weekend was good. We really didn't do anything except for yesterday...a lot of the same: Dinner at home, Shooters on Saturday and cards with the neighbors. We've also been taking care of the neighbor dog, Reggie...they come home today.

Plans today: I'll walk Scout and Reggie here in a bit (hopefully Jim can walk Boo for me) then I'll bike ride do a little cleaning (change sheets etc.) and then it's going to be nice and I think I'll lay out. Why not?

I won't make anything major for dinner tonight since Jim won't be here. I'll probably have a cobb salad.

And that's all I've got. Time to walk my boy. Happy Monday! Later!
