No Sign Of Melanoma

I think I mentioned that earlier in the week, Jim coughed up...something...and had a couple instances where he coughed up some blood. It certainly freaked him out so he had the loogie tested. Results found that there was no sign of melanoma in the sample tested. Phew! I really wasn't worried about this but Jim certainly was so I'm happy this is something he can breathe a sigh of relief about.

Speaking of Jim, he apparently couldn't sleep and so woke my ass up at 5:00 AM...actually, he scared my ass awake whispering my name 2 inches from my face to say goodbye. Hopefully this means he'll be home early. He's also working tomorrow, which sucks for him but it will be overtime and considering he's not had a 40 hour week in about a month, I'm fine with that. I told him we could go out to dinner - his choice - tomorrow as a little treat. And maybe if he gets off early enough today we can make a quick trip to Shooters. That would make him happy.

Plans for the day: I'm currently watching the Opening Ceremony for the Olympics while I eat and type this out. Afterwards, I'll do my usual - walk the dogs and bike - and then relax with an iced coffee and a crossword puzzle. Gotta keep my brain sharp. After that, who knows...maybe I'll lay out if it's nice. Gotta keep my tan up! Dinner tonight will be the recipe Maggie turned me onto (happy?) - Cheesy Spring "Farroto". I'll add a bit of chicken to the dish so that Jim gets some protein. I'd be okay without the meat but Jim's so skinny right now and having a hard time getting the nutrients he needs, I have to stuff as much protein in him as I can.

No real plans for the weekend although my neighbor is going out of town and asked us to empty her pool filter which means we can also use her pool. I'll probably go over there for a couple hours tomorrow while Jim works and enjoy some sun. Sunday isn't supposed to be nice though. Doug and Lauren are headed to Florida for a week tomorrow so we won't get together with them...no cards for us. Although Jim and I might get some Skip-Bo in, who knows.

And that's about all I've got. Time to get my boys out and about. Happy Friday! Later!
