Some Progress

Yesterday was somewhat productive. I managed to get my IEP for Tuesday mostly complete and I sent a draft home. Now, remember this is my behavior kid. If I didn't mention before he has a grandmother that is VERY involved because mom and dad aren't mentally/physically stable. Often this kid will live with his grandmother for weeks at a time due to the stress of living at home due to mom's health. She is usually my point of contact when dealing with any issues that come up though she isn't considered his guardian nor does she sign for permission on his IEP. Well, yesterday after I sent the IEP, she emailed me (only) and explained that she's "stepping back" from her grandson's education. She's trying to get the parents to take control of her son's issues/education etc. This definitely needs to be done but I found it interesting. We'll see if she really does it or not. When I got her email I asked her, "Do you still want to be involved in the IEP on Tuesday?" and she responded with "We'll see." Hmm...I'm betting she ends up conferencing in.

With my scholarship IEP, I emailed the two providers again yesterday and the parent. Finally last night (got the email this morning) got a response. She's all set to meet on the 13th or 14th (I need to set it up) and she included on the email the person who has been providing services. I had the names correct but the emails given to me were wrong. I'll deal with that later and try to write the bullshit IEP today.

After I finish here I'm going to run to the store. Jim really doesn't want me to go but I'll wear gloves and be in and out. The items I need are perishables and I can't just stock up on those since they go bad. It's just the way it has to be. I don't want Jim going out at all...he's nervous anyway and doesn't want to go out. I don't blame him.

Dinner tonight - I'm so excited! - Vegan Curry Ramen! It looks so good (I hope it lives up to its picture). I was going to get takeout tonight but after seeing this recipe, I changed my tune. And I get to have a glass of wine tonight! (Trying not to drink 3-4 nights a week and tonight I deserve a little nip!)

And that's all I've got. I have to say Jim and I are a little short of temper this morning. All this quarantine time together is wearing us a little thin. Mostly during the day we aren't together (he's working around the house and I'm in our room working on the computer) so that's good. It's just those little things that are getting on each other's nerves. A trip to the store should restore my mental state a bit.

K - Happy Wednesday! Stay healthy and socially distant from others! Later!
