Morning Meetings

I have two meetings this morning and one meet with kids to read a test. I've had the one meeting (sped meeting) and am waiting for the other one to start. Other than that, my plans for the day are to get some "grading" done and see who in my classes have done what...who's been a slacker. Granted, they don't need to complete their work until Friday but you know there will be some that just don't do shit.

Last night was an interesting night here in Loveland. Around 10:30, I stopped reading my book and laid my head down to sleep. Within about 10 minutes I heard a series of gunshots...an automatic of some sort and in the distance. That is NOT the norm here in my sleepy neighborhood. But I let it go and tried to get back to sleep. Then, Scout, who was laying on Jim's legs, heard something and got a bit riled looking out the window. Boo, of course joined him. They wouldn't let up so I got up to check things out. I saw, in between my neighbor's house, two doors down, two people walking. Suddenly they started running. I watched for a while but there was nothing else. Waking up this morning, I had text messages from my one of my neighbors who said they were "doorbell ditched" and it was the third time to happen recently. The neighborhood app I'm on also had something posted last night about doorbell ditchers. Why are kids such assholes? And where are their parents? Apparently my neighbor has a group behind her that parties until all hours of the night. I'm guessing this is where the doorbell ditchers are coming from. Ugh!

Yesterday was a LOVELY day! I went up to school and was able to get some things out of my room that I needed. Mainly I was able to get some XL medical gloves for Jimmy. It was actually so nice to get out somewhere besides Kroger. To drive on the highway was exhilarating, which is hilarious. I had my radio cranked and my windows opened and it almost felt normal! Except for the fact that there was NO ONE on the roads! At 10:00 AM. From there I came home and walked Scoutie then I had my IEP meeting which went well. After that I took a lovely bike ride through my neighborhood. I can't wait to get back on the trail...soon, once it's a little warmer in the morning.

Dinner tonight is a Cobb salad. Something easy. I'm trying really hard to use what I have and not go to the grocery so much.

And that's all I've got. My morning meeting with a few of my kids is in about a 1/2 hour so I should try and present myself so I don't look like I just rolled out of bed. Though I haven't...I got up at 6:00 and did a little workout...trying to make that my routine. Anyway - time to get a move on...happy Wednesday! Later!
