I came home yesterday with lots to do: dinner prep before exercise, elliptical, feeding the dogs and then mowing/mulching the front yard leaves. All was well until Jim got home. He tried to wreck my plan by blowing leaves into piles. I had to yell at him twice to stop (well, once but that was after I sternly told him a first time to stop since I was MULCHING the leaves with the mower). He does this every year. I take care of the leaves. I have a system. My system is most efficient but every year he comes in and tries to do it his way...the wrong way. And I'm not just being a control freak here. We've done it his way before (let all the leaves fall and deal with them then or start to finish, can and dump) but we've found in the last 5-6 years that the best way of dealing is to mulch as much as possible and then when they get too thick, can and dump. Why can't he just let me be and do another job that's been on his list (for months) and leave me to do the leaves?!
In the end, I managed to get the front yard DONE (2 1/2 miles later) and today will be spent in the back yard. The leaves are a little thicker back there but I'm hoping that an extra day to dry out a little will make it easy mowing. Wednesday/Thursday will drop most of the rest of the leaves with the rain, storms and wind we're supposed to get. That's fine with me...hopefully we can take care of them this weekend.
In school news - I have a 7:30 IEP (just now remembered) but other than that - easy going for the day. Yesterday was rough! I was so tired. I nearly fell asleep at my desk which is unusual. Of course I went to bed early and then woke up at 4:30 ready to go. Oh well.
And that's all I've got. Time to get to work...happy Tuesday! Later!
