Another Short Week

As I will be headed north on Friday for our final PIB visit of the year, I will have a short week...WOOT! However, I have two IEPs but they should be relatively easy (one tomorrow and one...Wednesday?). Other than that - a normal week.

The weekend was lovely. Headed to Columbus where we shopped, went to Pins, watched football and relaxed. I was home yesterday by 11:00 and Jim and I went to Shooters for a quick bite. I walked Scout (Jim walked Boo), bathed the boys (they were ragamuffins!) and then put my aero pilates machine together and did a little arm and cardio on it. I forgot how good of a workout that thing gives.

Jim had lots of jobs this weekend and he did okay in getting them done. His main job was to start cleaning the basement, which he did. There was a lot of shifting of stuff from all over the place to the left side of the basement but he did manage to purge some things. It's a start. He also brought up the pilates machine and though vacuuming was on the list he didn't get that done until I made him do it yesterday afternoon.

The weather is finally cool and fall-like. We currently have rain but won't get near enough of it. Not that I'm complaining...too much. A drier fall makes for easier leaf clean up. We've had about 1 inch of rain since September 1st. That's crazy!

Dinner tonight will be homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese. I've never been a tomato soup girl but over the weekend I had a cup at Cap City Diner and it was amazing. Made me realize that I like tomato soup and because I know Jim will love soup and grilled cheese for dinner, I decided to treat him. I have a recipe that's a stove top one but I'll make it in the Instant Pot instead. Kind of a combo of a couple recipes...need to cut some of the fat as well.

Oh! Booked our Punta Cana trip! Well, I booked the hotel, I'll do the flight this morning! So excited! I also got the letter from the State Department so I can finally get my passport rolling and hopefully have it within the next couple weeks.
