It's nice to have a day at work without kids ahead of me. It'll be nicer when it's behind me but at least I'll be able to sit at my desk and get some shit done without interruption...from kids.
My plans for today at school are to crank out the two IEPs I have scheduled for the 2nd week back from break and get my binders ready for the start of the new semester. In LA, when we come back, I'll show Catching Fire to the kids since we finally finished the book on exam day! That will be a nice way to ease back into the school year. And other than that, I've got nothing other than a couple emails I need to send to parents. I finished my progress reports yesterday which is the biggest hurdle I needed to jump.
Last night was semi-productive. I got 1/2 my French cakes made and will complete the other half tonight. Jim's still on 2nd shift so I'll give him a few jobs for the day and hope he gets them done. Dude is LAZY!
Oh, two more pounds! Hot dog! This puts me in a good position for the next week of eating and imbibing. I'll still try to be good but I'm going to enjoy myself and not freak out about possibly gaining a couple.
What else? I won't talk politics because I don't want to put a damper on anyone's day...bad enough to turn on the news and see the state of our country. So scary the position we're in with such instability. Where is rock bottom I wonder?
Okay well, I think I'll close this out and spend a little cuddle time with my boys before I hit the road. Happy Friday!!! This time tomorrow, I'll most likely be sitting on the couch with the Christmas tree lit, watching TV, sipping my coffee, hanging with my boys and thinking about all the crap I need to do. But who cares because I have a full two weeks of down time in my future! Merry Christmas to me! Later!
