2 Weeks

Two more weeks of school. I was sitting on the couch last night and I said to Jim, "Do you realize that this time next week, I'll be getting ready to start exam week!?" That's crazy to me! Exam week is always a bit of a crazy week but mainly because it creeps by. We had a morning of exams and then the kids are done by 12:30 and while the teachers hang in their rooms (grading etc.). There really isn't much to do and with the Friday before break being our work day, I anticipate that next week is going to be the SLOWEST week in history. Don't get me wrong, however. I'm not really complaining because on the other side of that slow week are two weeks off! And you know those weeks are going to fly by...but again! No complaints!

The weekend was nice. Jim and I just hung out with the exception of a jaunt down to Newport and then downtown for lunch. Originally we were going to eat at the Moerlein House but I wasn't thrilled with their menu so I drank my Barbarossa (fave beer) and then we just headed over to our tried and true: Yard House. I had my usual cobb salad and then we were home bound. We got lots of beer, wine and liquor at the Party Source. I'm trying to get my Christmas Eve shopping done well ahead of time because I'm not going to have a lot of time since I work up until the 22nd. Oh, and we didn't end up getting new kegs. It just isn't worth it right now and I don't want the beer to go bad.

Sunday was another lovely relaxing day. I walked the boys (three miles Saturday; three Sunday) and then we basically hung in front of the fire all day long. I made a yummy pot roast and here we are.

My week should be easy at school...no meetings, no appointments...just getting the kids ready for their exams and reading like the wind in LA. I do need to head to the BMV after school to put in for my new plates. Since Jim is driving my old car, I didn't switch plates with his because they didn't have PIB plates. Hopefully this won't be a pain in my ass and I can just order and wait.

And that's about all I've got. Another loss for the Bengals...big shocker...I mean, Marvin is still our coach and all roads lead to Marvin. I'm beginning to think that Marvin has some sort of dirt on the Browns and that's why they've kept him around. I mean extortion can be the only reasonable explanation for why these bumbleheads keep such a loser around. I know we've got lots of injuries and blah blah blah, but you can only use that as a reason for so long and after 15 years I think we've probably hit the limit.

K - I'm out. Happy Monday! Later!
