Oh, I Wish

Just saw a video that Tom Brady posted teasing his retirement! I sure wish that were true because I do NOT like that guy! Aside from the fact he's a tool he's also a big old baby. Yes, I know he's talented but that doesn't mean he's not a putz! Unfortunately, he's not REALLY going to put me out of my misery and retire but a girl can hope!

I just made up a new word! I meant to type the word "another" but accidentally typed "anothing". I don't know what it means but it's a good word!

Anyway I just saw a post someone on Facebook made saying they are "interested in an event". The event? Kid Rock on PIB August 29th. I will be nowhere near the island on that day or the days surrounding. First, Kid Rock is disgusting and second, the number of rednecks will A) probably sink the island and B) send me into a seizure. Ugh!

Eyeball update: It's still annoying the shit out of me. I do fine watching TV and just walking around but being on my computer is tough. And I'm constantly in front of my computer these days with exams approaching and IEPs coming up. It's so fatiguing. Sometimes I just have to sit and close my eyes. I hope my brain hurries up and adjusts to these new floaters.

I watched G.H.W. Bush being brought into the rotunda yesterday. What a life that man led. I may not have agreed with his politics (realistically, I'm not too informed on his presidency...I wasn't in a frame of mind then to pay attention...I know the basics) but he was a man beyond reproach in terms of his attitude and love for his family; a humble man. I loved what James Baker said about his last days and the relationship they had. His life and all he accomplished is certainly one that SHOULD be celebrated. And I have to say, of the three eulogies yesterday at the capitol, VP Pence gave a really good one. I certainly don't like that guy but he was a fluid and eloquent speaker.

I'm making a delicious looking soup tonight: Cozy Autumn Wild Rice Soup...I hope it's good...it looks really good. I don't have Old Bay seasoning though...what should I use instead? Maybe I'll just stop on the way home and get some.

K - well, time to get a move on. I have to complete my science exam review before school starts. I didn't get a chance to finish it yesterday because those damn kids were constantly needing help.
