Almost There

Things I've accomplished (with Jimmy's help):
  • Jim got much of the grocery shopping done
  • I made my sauce for the lasagna
  • I'm on my last gift to prepare and then wrap which I'll do tonight
Things that will happen today (Jim's still on 2nd shift):
  • Jim will do some cleaning
  • Jim has been ordered to finish his shopping today
  • Jim has been ordered to do some wrapping
We are slowly chipping away at the things that need done before the weekend so hopefully there won't be too much to do. I just told Jim that we need chairs for the dinner tables (we usually borrow from his brother) and he responded with, "They can stand...new tradition." Huh...I think one of the standers will be Jim!

In school news, my IEP went swimmingly. Not to toot my own horn but the parents love me (they said this...it's not me just bragging) and are happy with the progress their daughter is making (having more to do with their daughters work ethic and attitude by the way than anything I do). But because it's Christmas and I deserve it: Toot Toot!

At school: I was a total procrastinator yesterday. After my meeting and then giving my history exam, I wasn't motivated to do much. So...today I'll be left with doing lots. I still have my progress reports to complete and I need to ready my stuff for next semester because when we return from break, I won't have my work day to do stuff (since it's on Friday). Thankfully, I have the aides (or an aid) and tomorrow and Friday to complete it all. It's going to be VERY boring these next few days.

Oh, I forgot to update about my eyeball after my appointment Monday. All is well. The doc is very happy with how my ball is looking. She says that the vitreous is almost totally done and at this point, there's only about 10% chance I'd get a tear in my retina. She also took pictures of my right eye and the vitreous is still attached there. I asked her about trauma possibly causing the vitreous from detaching and she said, "Why? Did you suffer trauma?" So I told her about the log to the face and she said that most likely that was what started this whole thing. She had wondered if something had happened because I'm a little young (thank you!) to have this happening. So there you go. She also said that the routine of the other eye detaching within a year probably won't happen for 4 or 5 since the left was caused by trauma. So that's something. All in all, we're all good and I'll go back in March for a final check. Woot!

And that's all I've got. I have to get gas on the way to work so I'd best mosey. Happy Wednesday. Later!
