It's just before 9:00 am and I've had coffee, caught up on the news/shit storm that is this country as a result of this horrific administration, taken an 8.26 mile bike ride around the neighborhood, eaten breakfast and now here we are. My plans today are to do some laundry, clean, possibly get a pedicure and then head to Jim's doc appointment at 2:00. Pretty low key.
This weather is for the birds! Actually, I wonder what the birds think of this weather. I wonder if they really like if or do they get hot and miserable and just don't want to fly anywhere? Well, regardless, it's nasty. When I started out on my bike ride, I wasn't sure I would make it the whole way because it's so oppressive but once I got going, the breeze kept me relatively cool. Of course the minute I stepped off my bike I was a dripping mess.
So I kept the pups out of their cages for about 1/2 the night last night. They were good...Scout sleeps in bed and Boo likes to be under the bed. Crazies. Scout likes to be right up next to me so of course I sweat my ass off but he's so sweet, I don't have the heart to push him away. I ended up putting them in their cages around 1:00 or so because Jim got up to pee and so they got up and thought, "Hey! Lets play!" Uh, nope!
Mattress shopping went fine yesterday. Of course the beds I liked were some of the most expensive. I liked the Tempurpedic beds the most, which run for $3,000+. Ugh. I'll do some comparison shopping and figure things out. I'm not in some big hurry...just need a new mattress.
And that's about all I've got. Time to fold some laundry and do some vacuuming. Later! Happy Tuesday!
