Happy 80th!!!

Happy birthday to my sweet mom! I hope your birthday is amazing just like you! I'm sorry I can't be with you on your day but I'm so happy we got to spend time together at PIB a couple weeks ago. Enjoy your day!

So far my day has been jam-packed. I was forced to get up at 5:30 (nature called and then the boys were ready) and after coffee I decided to walk the boys. Scout went first and we went our normal 2 miles. There was one bunny incident but thankfully it happened in the driveway and I was able to wrangle him inside before all the neighborhood dogs lost their minds. Boo and I went on the longest walk we've been on yet. Probably 1 1/2 miles. He thoroughly enjoyed it but he is such a nervous walker. If I step funny and scrape my foot on the road behind him, he jumps a foot. At one point he stepped on a water meter lid thingy on the ground and it made a noise and he literally jumped two feet in the air. It was funny. Then some dude in a bright green shirt walked by and Boo acted like he wanted me to pick him up. I think the more we walk, the better he'll get. Anyway, they are both now tuckered out and enjoying the deck.

My plans today are to hang here, lay out and that's it. I was going to mow the lawn but it rained so much yesterday that it's just too wet. This means I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow which sucks because it's going to be hot, humid and miserable...ugh! Oh well...good exercise.

So another house on my street is for sale. It's a house just across the circle from me but you can't see it from the street because it sits down in a gully. The owners moved in the same year we did (our age) and have decided that the threat of the pond and creek flooding is more than they are willing to take anymore. Apparently it hasn't flooded since they've been there but I know it's been a near thing at least twice. I get it...it's like me and the trees...makes you crazy. I expect the house to go quickly. Not just because of our location but because the market is a sellers market and the house is really nice - updated, finished basement etc.

And that's about all I've got. Happy Thursday! Oh, yay! Tomorrow's Friday! K - later.
