Whirlwind

The "weekend" went way too fast and I can't believe I'm going to have to leave my babies to go back to work. Currently they are running around like kooks and hopefully draining as much energy as possible. Thankfully Jim is working nearby today (Blue Ash) and doesn't have to be in until around 7:30 so they'll get a good amount of their hyperness out over the next hour and a half. I'll be thinking of them all day, however, while their sitting in their cages. But...they have to get used to their new routine and so do I.

In terms of the adjustment, things have been great. We have yet to have an accident but Boo has peed and pooped on the deck. I don't really care about that, however...outside is outside. They are loving their backyard. They were out yesterday chasing each other and sniffing around for about a half hour at one point although they go out constantly. Bedtime has been good too without any issues when Jim gets up to pee in the middle of the night. They hear him and whine a bit but once he's back in bed they settle in again. Last night Jim and I were WIPED out...as were the pups...but it was 7:00. So, we took the boys up, put a gate up in the hallway and let them just have the run of the roost. Within 15 minutes, they were both hunkered down in their cage with door open. We left them like that until about 9:00 when Boo got up and was tooling around. Better safe than sorry and they don't mind being in their cage.

Here's hoping all goes well today while they're home and in their cage for about 8 hours. My neighbor is actually going to come over to get a bunch of packages she had sent here for Christmas and I'm sure she'll let them out and play with them a bit.

My week will be slightly hectic with two IEPs - one tomorrow and one Thursday. They are both written, however, so it's just a matter of having the meetings. I hate meetings. Today should be easy with the sophomores going to the career center for a visit. That means that most of my kids will be gone most of the day so I can't really teach. This will give me lots of time to complete the other IEPs I have NEXT week. UGH!

And that's all I've got. Time to get a move on. Happy Monday...here's hoping the next 3 1/2 weeks go by quickly. Later!
