So Sami likes to go in and outside in the AM about 100 times while Jim and I eat our breakfast (sometimes to do business, sometimes to just stand on the deck or lick the ice/drink water). This morning, after she had gone out about 15 times, she wanted to head out again and when I opened the door I was hit in the face by the overwhelming stench of skunk. Now, I don't know if it's out in the backyard or just beyond the fence but yowza! I could taste it. UGH! Needless to say, I did NOT let Sami out for fear of her getting sprayed. I'm hoping if said skunk was in the backyard that he was just passing through. I can't imagine he lives under our deck. First of all, there's lattice up to keep out the critters and though some get through (especially sweet bunnies), I would think if a skunk was living there I'd know it/smell it. Jim just headed out to stomp on the deck and make a ruckus to try and get the skunk out of dodge. And of course Sami just ate so now she really has to go out. Dern skunk!
Jim and I bought our Super Bowl squares a couple weeks ago but hadn't been to Shooters in a while to see what we got. Yesterday we went in and our squares are:
1st square - NE - 8; Atlanta - 2 (that blows!)
2nd square - NE - 1; Atlanta - 4 (not bad)
Each quarter pays $550 and that at half time they do two drawings for $150. We won a few years back and last year so I'll not get too greedy but a bit of extra cash sure wouldn't hurt.
This week should be an easy one. I'm taking a sick day on Friday which may be tough because we had Re-Do day at school. This means that several teachers will be covering that and there's less chance of me getting a sub. Oh well, what are you going to do. Anyway - I don't have any meetings this week and it should be pretty standard. I get my permanent crown done tomorrow after school. I'll be happy to have that done. I hate not being able to floss ALL my teeth. Plus my temporary one is all rough and I keep thinking it's going to fall out.
Saw the Viking exhibit on Saturday. It was interesting and fascinating to see how much stuff they've unearthed (including part of a huge ship) considering we're talking 1300 years ago in some instances. Can I just say I would NOT have survived long in that life! First - COLD and second - DIRTY! UGH!
K - best mosey...I still have papers to grade from Friday's 1/2 day meeting plus my usual Monday morning stuff. Happy Monday. Later!
