Of course every teacher (including me) is giving a test this week or next Monday. Tuesday, next week, starts exams. Which means that I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to make study guides for tests this week and next, making my own tests, making my own exams, and then making study guides for regular ed exams. I actually managed to get two study guides done yesterday for tests this week and I figured out my history exam. I made up a test for my history class this week and put together a study guide for it. I now have to make a review game for said test and can then work on making my LA exam. Not to mention all the regular shit I have to do. Whew...no wonder I find my head periodically pounding throughout the day. I'll be happy when this week is over and I have a solid week next week to meander over plans for next SEMESTER! Oh it is never ending. On a positive note, it sure makes my days fly by.
So yesterday I finished my Christmas shopping! How jealous are all of you!? (Probably not jealous at all because you all probably finished long ago!) I still have to go get a gift framed but I'm going to do that after school today.
This weekend, I think I'll go shopping for Christmas Eve stuff. I need to get some extra dishes and some silverware. I'm thinking Big Lots! I think we're going to have a record number of people at the Hanke household this year and I just don't have all the dinnerware for all those hungry mouths.
What else? Jim is still working 2nd shift. I'm getting a bit sick of that. Makes me want to go to bed at 7:00 because I've got nothing better to do. Plus I'm still really tired at the end of my days recently. This cold is just lingering and lingering. UGH!
And that's all I've got I think. I guess it can't hurt to get my ass to school and work on one of the many items on my list. How many more days until break? And when are we going to get some real winter weather!?
