I mean what's going on?! First my Uncle Stan is hospitalized. Then a good friend has to have her pup put down (16 year old who lived a nice long life but is now in kidney failure). Next I see posts on FB from Aunt Kathleen about her baby Beau! He had a tumor that was bleeding so they had to do emergency surgery. They won't know the lab results until Monday. Someone up there needs to watch out for our loved ones please, during this holiday season. Christmas and heartache DO NOT MIX!!! (Prayers in a continuous stream to you Aunt Kathleen!)
School: I'm more than ready to be DONE with school for 2015! I'm not sure I can take another day of mindless staring. I have my history exam first today and then it's my planning period so I will be sitting on my ass from 10-12:30. Thankfully the PTO will be serving us lunch so there will be that to keep my mind occupied. I'll have to at least TRY and do some work. I'm just so OVER it.
I've been investigating getting a new garage door and opener. We looked into having it done by an outside company but the quote we got was $1600 (although he came down to $1425). Buying a door (<$600) and opener (<$200) ourselves would save us a TON of money but Jim is unsure about installing ourselves. The guy who gave us the quote said he'd install for $350 but I still think that's a bit outrageous. And everything I've read says that install isn't that hard. I think I'll order the stuff and see what's what when it comes. If it looks too difficult, I can always have the guy do it.
What else? Oh, I had a dream I had to get a blood test (I'm reading a novel about a family dealing with Huntington's Disease...same author who wrote Still Alice...really good btw) and the doctor called me to say that I tested positive...for crystal meth! WHAT!? I kept telling him I had NEVER done crystal meth in my life but he wouldn't believe me. So weird.
Okay well it's colder than it's been yet this season so I guess I should get bundled up and outta here. Happy Friday!!! Happy beginning of winter break to me!!! Later!
