Did You Know?

Did you know I don't have anymore Mondays left at school. Lisa reminded me this week when I told her I had another negotiation meeting this Monday. I mean, I'll still be at school on the 18th but WOOT! No kids that day!

No headache this morning. Not that I'm holding out for a headache free day but who knows, maybe I'll get lucky. Ooh, and they're feeding us lunch again today! YAY! Hope it's good.

I started packing up my shit at school yesterday. I scavenged about 10 boxes from the work room and used most of them. I think I threw away about 2 tons of crap that I hadn't used in my 15 years there. I also gave a box of books away to the Junior High - books that I've NEVER read with the kids. I think in purging all of this, I've reduced my crap by about 1/3. I'm not a keeper of shit (and maybe that will bite me in the ass at some point) but I do keep the spreadsheets I have from my LA classes and the progress kids make on their goals. I'm sick of holding onto stuff that I "may" need in the future. If I need something in the future, I'll do what I always do: peruse the Internet and find something there or create something myself. Today I'll continue the packing and maybe tackle my filing cabinet and desk (although I clean this out once a year anyway so I don't anticipate a lot of shit).

Eva, Maggie and Charlie will be down today. Who knows when? I'm hoping sooner rather than later. We'll head to Anne's for dinner with her clan as well as Mom and Richard. That will be fun.

I have about a dozen things to do after school today. Well, really I only have 1 thing but Jim has several things and monitoring that he does his "jobs" is like having 11 things to do. I will head to Walmart after school to get Eva a b-day gift, some needed groceries and some gardening supplies. When I get home, I'm hoping Jim will be well on his way to finishing his jobs (cleaning his room and bathroom as well as vacuuming upstairs) so I can sit down and chill with a drink.
