Ah...Friday!

It's so funny when I look at my motivation in regard to my job at this time of year compared to the beginning of the year (1st semester). At this time of year I no longer care if I'm up late (thus tired in the morning). The old excuse of "it's a school night" doesn't mean much to me anymore. I'm just so ready to be DONE (sorry I've become a broken record) that sleeping and not imbibing fall by the wayside. Take yesterday for example. I received a gift card to Bonefish from a student. I told Jim in a text about it and he sent a text back saying, "Tonight!" I said, "Why not!?" So we dined there last night and I had a couple glasses of wine (white, which I don't usually drink during the week) and a beer (I'm crazy!). We came home and while I'd normally go up and read in bed around 7 or 7:30, I threw caution to the wind and watched Survivor instead! I didn't actually head upstairs until well after 8:00. And then, Field of Dreams was on so of course I had to watch most of that. I did end up falling asleep and waking up around 11:00 to turn off the TV but my body is obviously getting ready for Summer! It can't come fast enough.

So plans this weekend: Jim is heading to Columbus this evening to paint Maggie and Charlie's ceiling. Don't tell him but I'm kind of excited to have the house to myself for a night. He'll be back at some point Saturday and we'll just hang out...I'll make BLT's too since my Mom mentioned having them on her blog and it got my mouth to watering. YUMMY! Other than that, there's nothing exciting happening here.

School - I've started to ready my history lessons for next year. The actual chapters are complete (with PowerPoint, lesson questions etc.) I'm just adding things here and there and then tweaking my PowerPoints. Exciting, I know. I'm just so bored at work, I thought I might as well do something. I need to start packing stuff up but I need to get some boxes first to do that.

Okay well, I guess I'll head up and finish my toilette! The administration is throwing a cookout for the teachers today - YAY! Happy Friday! Three weeks from today will be my workday!!!  Later!
