A Banner Day!

Yesterday was a banner day in more than one way. First the weather was AMAZING! I kept walking outside (I take a shortcut to the main office at school by going outside) and every time I did, I would look up at the sky, which was cloudless and bluer than any blue I've recently seen, and say, "My GOD it's beautiful out!" The second reason it was a banner day was I had my LAST IEP of the year! WOOT! It was easy and quick - I was out of there within 20 minutes. (A set of parents that are "old pros" when it comes to special ed so there wasn't a need for explanation or anything like that.)

When I got home yesterday - Sami and I took a lovely stroll up the street. She now only goes to the end of my road. She'll start lagging behind and looking up at me. Yesterday I gave her the choice on which way she wanted to go at the end of the street and she did a quick turn toward home. Of course at that point she's racing ahead of me.

Speaking of Sami she got up at 4:30 this morning and good girl that she is, she jumped on Jim. Hee hee. He tried to ignore her but she was laying across him with her butt in the air wagging her tail and hitting me in the face. So I said, "Jim! I think she's 'touching cloth'!" So he got up to let her out and guess what? She didn't have to "go" she just wanted her "'pills'". When I came downstairs about 20 minutes later, Sami laughed and said, "Mom! Daddy's a sucker!" That he is...that he is!

So today I have to go to the dentist after school. My appointment isn't until 4:00 so I'll piddle around until about 3:00 or so before heading down to Kenwood. Should only take about 30 minutes to replace my filling.

What else? Nothing. Looking forward to seeing Mom and Richard this weekend. Oh - safe travels today you two! Slow and steady wins the race!

And that's all I've got. All testing is now complete at school. YAY! Students finished up their math PARCC test yesterday. The kids I talked to said it was the hardest test they've ever taken and that it was horrible. Awesome! Love how these tests make kids feel!
