Lots to do over the next few days. Today will be a day of preparing. I've gone to the grocery already and all is bought, I believe, for Christmas Eve. I'll get some cleaning done today as well, including all the piles of laundry that need to be folded, put away and then more started. Bathrooms will be scrubbed, top to bottom. I need to clean out the pantry too. Tomorrow, I'll make my sauce for the lasagna and probably do a bit more cleaning and of course we'll watch the Bengals game. I also need to get presents wrapped but I'll wait until Monday to wrap Jimmy's. I think I'll wait until Monday as well to do the brownies. I'll do the lasagna on Monday for sure but I'm not sure about he chicken tetrazzini...I may have to wait to make that on Christmas Eve (I typed Eva instead of Eve...hee hee...miss her). What do you think Maggie? You've made the tetrazzini before...can I make it ahead of time?
And it's raining, raining, raining. We're supposed to get 2-3 inches over the next day and a half which SUCKS! I just hope that A) my backyard isn't a total washout and B) the winds don't' kick up too much. They're saying a "Slight Risk" for bad storms so I'll keep my fingers crossed...well, one hand will have crossed fingers and the other will be holding a cocktail...to keep me calm.
Jim has to go out in a bit. I told him to avoid Fields-Ertel at all costs because you KNOW people are morons. He needs a new pair of work shoes, khakis for work and I'm sending him out to get a few things for X-mas Eve.
Um...have I mentioned how happy I am to be on vacation?! YAY!
K - well, I better go start on the laundry. It's a mess. Later!
