Yesterday was lots of fun at the zoo but we only made it for about an hour and a half. I was soaking wet from sweat...so hot. It felt okay in the shade and there was a nice breeze but walking didn't give us much chance to be in the shade. We got to see the gorillas (there were awesome) and the bonobos (they had a sweet little baby). The leopard was chillin' right at the glass, on her back sleeping. We saw the elephants and a rhino; the polar bears who were hanging in the water and not moving much. That's about it.
My plans today: Head home. Sad. Will miss my sweet girl but at least I'll see her next Wednesday. I'll head to the store on my way and get my shop on so that I can cook dinner for the rest of the week or rather until we head to the Bay on Wednesday. Saturday we'll do a cook out with the neighbors and takeout on Tuesday. That's about it. We're supposed to get storms later so I'll try and get home and walk Sami before that. Of course it'll be way too hot for her so we won't go far. And I'll run on the treadmill.
Ooh, I just finished my most recent read...a MUST read for all...hilarious!
K - well, Maggie has my breakfast ready (took her long enough...I'm starving...may have to re-think coming here if she can't get my food on the table faster). Better eat and shower. Later!
