Have I Mentioned?

Have I mentioned how much I love my new blender?  I mean this thing kicks some smoothie ASS!  It has a "frozen drink" setting and I'm telling you the smoothness of my smoothie just delights me.  You know, it's the little things in life that really keep you going, huh?

And speaking of little things:  I don't think I've shared with you all the drama that unfolded regarding Maggie's pool.  Long story short: Maggie and Charlie had a contract with a guy to get a pool built.  The initial plan was to have it built by Memorial Day.  It kept getting pushed back and pushed back and the guy who was supposed to be building it was making excuse after excuse.  He wouldn't return phone calls then he would call and promise that they were "next" on his list.  Then he wouldn't show or call nor would he return calls.  It was a vicious cycle.  Eventually the guy called and said he would return their deposit. He contacted his lawyer to have a letter drawn up (to say the contract was void I guess) but when Maggie and Charlie got the letter, it basically put the blame on them. So Charlie was calling and calling the lawyer; he emailed and said, they didn't default, he explained the facts and that they were still willing to follow through on this business deal. Well, don't you know Maggie called me this morning to tell me that they are starting tomorrow!?  I asked if she thought the pool would be done by Monday when I get there.  No such luck.  But, cross your fingers that this all goes through (from this point on) without a hitch or a hiccup.

Guess who got a haircut?  EVA!!!  Here's the back...Maggie took about an inch and a half off.  She's trying to even it up with the front.   Hard to see but this is all I get when I have to rely on Maggie!

So, I've walked Sami; I ran on the old mill and I'm now currently enjoying my morning smoothie (peaches, bananas, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries with soy milk and protein powder).  When I'm done here I'll head out to mow the front lawn...it really needs it and is a mess.  My other plans today are to lay out.  Exciting, huh? Well, what else am I going to do when it's this freakin' beautiful!?

Oh, dinner tonight? Cheesy Jalapeno Popper Chicken.  YUM!

K-I'm out...later!
