Peeling Nose & Moe

Because I know you are all wondering about my nose, I thought I'd start this post with an update.  Here's what pisses me off:  My nose - after all the blowing and wiping - is now peeling.  This is always the result of a day-long allergy binge. My nose shouldn't be peeling unless it's burnt and this poor body hasn't seen the sun in months!  I'm so pale and ugly and NOW my nose looks as though there are a bunch of boogies hanging from it.  UGH!

In school news:  Same old, same old.  Kids are nuts and fairly stupid.  Although!!!  The squirrely little maniac in my World History class managed to pull a C out on his test yesterday!  It brought his grade from a 58% to a 60%!  How much does it suck that I'm excited for one of my students to have a D!? God, I suck!

Oh, here's something funny (and slightly mean but I never claimed to be nice):  So one of the kids at school (yes he's sped) - lets call him Moe (you'll know why in a minute)? He's the kind of kid that, in the past, NEVER let his hair grow longer than an half inch.  And he has really nice hair - it's black and thick and covers a massive scar he has from a fall when he was a baby.  Anyway - of late he's been letting it grow and it hasn't been a wise choice - only because he doesn't know what to do with it.  One day he tried to brush it back and he looked like an old man.  So yesterday he walked in before school started to talk to Lisa and he had a new do.  It looked like he had stuck a bowl on top of his head and shaved everything hanging out.  I couldn't look at him because I would have laughed.  I don't know how Lisa managed to have a conversation with him.  When he left, we both leaned over from behind our computers and looked at each other and said, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?"  Then my phone signals a text...it was from Kim asking how I liked Moe's new haircut and that he mentioned to her that I didn't say anything about it.  And then it hit me who he looked like:  Moe from the Three Stooges...and as I typed that text to Kim, one of my other students came in the room and said, "Did you see so-and-so's new haircut?  He looks like Moe from the Three Stooges."  And not 2 minutes later ANOTHER student came in and said the same thing.  Apparently (and this is kind of sad) Moe had cut his own hair (which I had guessed) and when his mom saw it, she told him it looked stupid.  Poor kid.  I would imagine when I see him today, he will have a fully shaved head...at least I hope so.

Okay and that's all I've got.  Nothing much to report.
