Happy What If Dogs and Cats Had Opposable Thumbs Day!!!

What a crazy observance today is! Along with "Unique Name Day" by the way! It should just be called "Celebrate Muir Day", shouldn't it? I mean, why pretend! It's all about me, right?

Anyway what is it with this dog and cat opposable thumb thing? How did that get started? Did a four year old think of this?

So, lets ponder. If a dog/cat had opposable thumbs, what could they do? Well, they could hitchhike! Hey, maybe then there would be fewer sweet family pets hit by cars!!!

They could thumb wrestle!!! Then there would be fewer dog and cat fights. Ooh, and may these dog fighting rings would be abolished! There may never have been a Michael Vick debacle!

They could generally grip things and then they could drink from a glass. Ooh, then Bubba wouldn't make such a mess when he's lapping up water from his bowl! Less clean-up for me!!!

Dogs could then throw their own balls!!!

They could give me the "thumbs up" sign when they want in from outside - you know rather than barking their heads off and causing a ruckus in the neighborhood!

All in all I think it would be better if dogs/cats had opposable middle fingers! That would be so much more helpful. Then Sami could flip all those other dogs in the neighborhood off. You know, the ones that she goes ape shit over when we walk who have apparently done her some wrong that know one else knows about. If she had a middle finger, she could just flip them off and save herself some stress and blood (she bites her leash sometimes and cuts her gums! She's a crazy bitch).
