Scary!!!

First: Thanks Jane, again, for dinner. Company was great. Steaks, great! Mac and cheese, deeeelicious! Pie, mmmm! Hold on, I'm still thinking about that pie! Anyway, we appreciate you asking and had a great time. Hope we didn't leave too abruptly and with too much clean-up.

So, on to the scary thing. Well, every morning, I get up and I check my email at work to make sure there isn't any "earth shattering" event going on that I should hurry into work for (or call in sick for). Today, there was an email from "Dot" saying she wouldn't be in today. Preface: Dot was out last Friday because she had to get her leg "scraped" for some cancerous cells. Everything went fine, they didn't even have to do any cutting (just the scraping) because the cancer cells were totally on the surface. Fast forward to yesterday. Dot goes to the dentist. The dentist sees her leg and tells her to go immediately to her doctor because there's some sort of infection. She goes and finds she possibly has MRSA!!! Holy Shitballs! That is a flesh eating, sometimes fatal staph infection. I'm thinking they caught it plenty of time because aside from putting her on a high dose of antibiotics, the doctor only told her she would have to be out (not around kids mainly) for one day. As long as everything is, I guess, not oozing (my read on the whole thing), she can get back to work on Friday. And by the way, I was going to post a picture but couldn't find one that didn't make me want to hurl! So, ladies, keep your healthiest thoughts on Dot!

K - best get my arse in gear and finish getting ready. Oh, and happy Pumpkin Chuckin Day!!!

I have half of a pie left so if you want to stop by when you walk the dogs and pick some up for later, feel free!
